  • Daytime fireworks: we have already mentioned, that the unordinary clouds on the picture are not actually clouds, but daytime fireworks. Night has been the only time for fireworks from the day they have been used for the first time. however, our love of them and a little bit of science helped fireworks escape from darkness and level up to the new stage. Chemically and visually daylight fireworks are quite different from traditional ones, but all of us agree that they are one of the most beautiful and amazing things humankind has ever seen.

  • Silent fireworks: if darkness has always been a friend for fireworks, silence has – never. Actually, many people avoid using them and do not enjoy the process of shooting fireworks, because they are too loud, as they say. Specially for them, we present an innovation of the modern world of fireworks – silence fireworks. At first, it might seem weird to not hear fireworks, but sooner or later we will get used to it and everyone will be able to enjoy their amazingness.

Ways of Making a Firecracker

A firecracker, also known as a cracker, bunger, or mise maker is a small explosive mostly designed to produce a significant amount of noise (with a loud bang) with a visual effect.

The material has a fuse and a well wrapped heavy paper casing that contain an explosive compound. It is easy to make and fun as well. It also offers a way of learning the science behind the firework theory.

Before making the firecrackers, here are some few ingredients that you need:-
  1. Black powder
  2. Charcoal
  3. Potassium Nitrate
  4. Sulfur
  5. Flash paper
  6. Nitric acid
  7. Cotton
  8. Kitty litter
  9. Fuse
  10. Tape
  11. Pencil
Assembling a homemade firecracker is easy; here is a step by step procedure of making that light sparkle up.

1. Using one of your fingers measure the length of the firecracker you need.

2. Place a pencil on a paper and roll a strip of flash paper or cardboard to make a hollow tube. Using a tape, hold the paper in shape and remove the pencil to leave a space.

3. Cut the pipe into one or two inches sections.

4. Once cut, tape the bottom of each tube to seal it.

5. Add small amounts of clay and kitty litter to the tube. Use the pencil to press the clay into the    bottom. Using the eraser end of the pencil, make a plug.

6. Add nitrocellulose or black powder into the tube. Insert a piece of pipe and continue adding power till you are near the top. Add a lot of powder to make sure enough is exposed and can light it quickly and get away from it.

7. When you are done filling the powder, there are many options you can use to seal the tube. When working with paper, if you plan to light the firecracker immediately, then, you can firmly twist the paper and fuse it to seal the cracker. Another great option is to top off the gunpowder with small amounts of kitty litter. After that, you tape the top of the cylinder and leave the fuse top-end exposed. Finally, you can tape the top of the firecracker and blow a fuse exposed. Work with your limits by experimenting all models and seeing which works best for you.

For your safety, here is information to keep in mind.

  • Working with highly explosive materials can be disastrous. Nitrocellulose and gunpowder are highly flammable if they are under pressure when they burn. (Ensure the materials only explored when ready by keeping them away from flame and heat)
  • Keep it out of reach of children. It’s a firecracker! Let an adult handle it.

Learning how to make a firecracker is not a daunting task. It’s easy, simple and fun! It takes little time with little practice. It saves on money and time. With the steps and safety precaution outlined for you, o out there and live your life to the fullest. Enjoy!
